Price: $550. Recommended for groups of 25 or larger. This price includes two sacks of oysters, two professional oyster shuckers, a grill, a pirogue, crackers, sauce, utensils, other necessary supplies, set up, clean up and breakdown.
Please note: Contradictory to popular belief, oysters are not seasonal – this service is available year around. Historically, aka – prior to refrigeration, oysters were only consumed during months with an “r” in it – i.e.- January, February, March, April, September, October, November and December. This was the case because these months are generally colder, allowing for the oysters to stay fresh after they were picked off the boat through transportation to their destination. Now-a-days, oyster boats are highly regulated and are required to have proper refrigeration – allowing consumers to enjoy oysters year around! Hoorah!
